Thanks to you and your staff for all of your support this past year.
We really appreciate your generosity and efforts on our behalf. The shirts and hats are obviously a big part of camp, but they are also one of our larger expense items. As a volunteer program, we are limited as to the level of funds that we can raise. Monies saved from the purchase of products for camp, such as shirts and hats, is money that we can spend on program activities for the kids.
I am often amazed at the support that we have received from the community, and in particular from small business owners such as yourself.
We applaud you for giving back to the community so generously, and we are very proud that you have chosen to help us out in particular.
Many thanks for your excellent work last week to ensure we had a perfect set
of plaques to give out at our Award ceremony. It was a complex job and there
were no mistakes or omissions. All went very well indeed and everyone was
delighted with the new look plaques this year - with the club pennant on
them and the gold surround.
Also thanks for the refurbished Commodores Cup. We will bring in a selection
of our other trophies for refurbishment over the winter.
Also we don't have the Big Boat Historical wall of honour as yet and I have
asked Neil to e mail these in including this years.
As a proud parent, I had the honour of accepting the OYA on behalf of our son, Ambuj Dewan. Ambuj is doing very well in his studies at McGill University. Needless to say that he is very happy and excited at having been given this award. He has specifically asked me to thank you for sponsoring the crystal award for 2007.
Indeed the businesses like yours are doing a lot to make ours a vibrant community which recognizes the youth and encourages them to excel.
